Thyme is a hardy plant that thrives within rocky soil topsoil found in the mountains and hills. The thyme plant is known for its wild, invasive nature and its tendency to spread outward along its surroundings. Its stems are long and wiry, growing straight upward, and its small, curved green leaves are edged in a pale cream colour. Due to its pungent aroma and taste, the thyme plant is a common ingredient in many culinary dishes.
