Critital hits cause more damage to a denizen than a normal hit. As an adventurer rises in experience, they will score critical hits with more frequency.
There are five levels of critical hit, ranging from:
- CRITICAL - 2x damage
- CRUSHING CRITICAL - 4x damage
- OBLITERATING CRITICAL - 8x damage
- ANNIHILATINGLY POWERFUL CRITICAL - 16x damage
- WORLD-SHATTERING CRITICAL - 32x damage
Critical hit pendants are an artefact that not only allow an adventurer the chance to get extra critical hits while bashing, but also allow the chance of scoring the harder hits, no matter what their level of experience. These pendants, in order of effectiveness from least to greatest, are the Fire pendant, Blood pendant, and Stygian pendant.
