A pike is a long, wooden, spear-like weapon, sometimes with a pointed metal tip (though usually not). In its most common Achaean usage, pikes are used to mount for public display the decapitated heads of fallen foes. "Pike" is sometimes used in verb form, where "to pike" something means "to display upon a pike." (Ex: The head of Dacian was piked both to serve as a deterrent and to dishonour the Infernals.)
