Taralis, the Queen, is the half-breed leader of the Dyissan people, her body that of a serpent from the waist down and a young human woman from the waist up. She spends her time in her private sanctuary in the Caves of Delmarin, a gorey room decorated with fungi-covered, Dwarven skulls and statues of massive Dyissan warriors formed from a glowing red, mysterious gem. Like the rest of her race, she dislikes outsiders, especially dwarves.
