A level, or a level of experience (e.g. the 50th level of experience), is a unit of measure used to gauge the experience of an adventurer in Achaea. There are over 100 uniquely named levels, each progressively harder to achieve than the one that preceded it. At the 99th level, an adventurer may earn the spirit of a Greater Dragon and the skill of Dragoncraft. Every level gained earns an adventurer 5 lessons; bound credits are also awarded at specific level milestones. Similarly, when losing a level, one will lose both lessons and experience. An adventurer's level is also a reflection of the overall rank listed in his or her score.

Levels are often referred to as "circles of experience", though usage of this term is not sanctioned by the Pentad.
