'''Bain'maal''', called the ''Dark Earth'' is an associate of [[Ama-maalier]]. Though he is renowned for mastery of [[Gattan'lier]]'s craft and is of the Main Line Five in [[Tsol'teth]] experimentation, little else is known of him. 

Considered the strongest of [[Underrealm]] [[shadowmancy|shadowmancers]], Bain'maal's mysterious earth-destroying abilities are an unknown quantum in the arsenal of the modern [[Tsol'teth]]. Bain'maal is legendary for slaying a [[dala'myrr|worm-from-the-sky]] during an unspecified time (presumably during the rise of the [[War of the Worldreaver|Worldreaver]]). Bain'maal was sent by a displeased [[Tlalaiad]] to punish [[Ashtan]] for their temporal transgressions in the pursuit of their Second Great Work in 870 AF. A desperate Ashtan conjured the [[Spawn of the Unnamable Horror]] to combat his approach, buying time to complete their machinations in repairing their [[Eschaton]], though he Dark Earth eventually succeeded in casting the Spawn back into the madness from which it came.
