Tasur'ke is a small seaside village located northeast of Hashan. It is best known for its vast quantity of oysters and a thriving pearl industry. It is governed by Tasur'ke's Elders, but only one makes himself available to talk to adventurers. He can be found standing on the shores dressed in deep blue robes, gazing out at the ocean. His grandson is the rascal who plays by the village gates.

Geography
Sitting on the northeastern corner of Sapience, Tasur'ke faces the vast Eastern Ocean. Thalassa Market takes up the largest portion of the village, with the Seabreeze Tavern and the citizen baths on the west side and the Flowering Sands Inn to the east, just past the market. The Temple of the Moon is located here on the outskirts of the village. Further east, on the coast just off the beach, is the Tower of the Blue Abyss, a temple of the old Sea God, Caspian. The tower is now under the care of His son, Neraeos, the new God of the Sea.

During the Catarine Dominion, the town underwent a massive expansion project.

Inhabitants
The villagers of Tasur'ke are commonly called Tasur or Thalassans.

Other villagers include the numerous young children and townswomen, a drunken vagrant who lurks behind the tavern, and a travelling minstrel.

Culture
The village of Tasur'ke is a peaceful, friendly community under the leadership of elders. The only threat, other than the sharks in the water, are adventurers. Their biggest form of commerce comes from sales of wood and cloth commodities and their unique pearl jewellery.

Shops
There are many shops in Tasur'ke. One of interest is Allira's crystal shop, where she supplies crystals to rogue Magi for a price. Adventurers may also purchase jewellery from the Praetoria Pelagium, and wood and cloth commodities from the centre of Thalassa market. Visitors might also have a go at creating their own fruit candies in Allea's candy shop or purchase fishing equipment from Lexil's bait shop.

Notable locations
Tasur'ke is home to the famed Garden of Whispers as well as the Grotto of Song.

Flora and Fauna
The seaside location of Tasur'ke ensures a steady growth of kelp and a healthy supply of oysters. Aggressive sharks are also native to the coast of the village and are known to feed on the many novices and Magi who go pearling in the waters. A number of cats have taken up residence in the village and dragonflies are also a common sight. The Garden of Whispers and the neighbouring Gardens of Moonlight and the Sacred Sea provide a break from the sandy sights to provide a mystical vision of greenery and flowers.

Deep within the Western Vashnars, a trail leads down into the canopied jungle of Dun Valley. The valley was discovered in 250 AF during the Dun Valley Saga when Sapience pushed back invading ogre and orc forces who were under the command of the Tsol'teth Zh'risia and his ogre henchman Kroul.

At the very centre of the valley lies a massive volcano atop which the villages of Gar'nok and Thalagor, as well as the Dun Fortress, can be found. Dun Fortress is ruled by the ruthless ogre baron, Vukub Ysin'zhu.

Guarding the pass into the valley and patrolling the trail along its northern edge, adventurers will find aggressive mountain lions to be wary of. The jungle itself is a humid, steamy place teeming with wildlife, including opossum, tree frogs, jaguars, raccoons, gorillas, poisonous snakes, even a hippo and an elephant. A river runs through the jungle infested with piranhas, its source hidden within a cavern on the western side of the valley. At the end of its course, the river filters into a swamp where crocodiles and giant crabs may be found.

The winding trails and close vegetation of the valley creates an isolated environment for those who wish seclusion, and the exiles Tolonar and Kaanan can be found hiding in the valley. Students of the Rajamalan language may seek out Numenesse to further their knowledge. Near the source of the river lies a primitive village of cavemen led by their chieftain Talus. A commodity shop can be found nearby, stocking gold, silver, and bone.

Jewellery is a miniskill that allows one to fashion decorative baubles from raw materials to wear and sell. Adventurers who wish to learn it must first purchase a jewellery permit from the Crafters Union headquarters in Delos. Jewellers' permits cost two hundred credits.

Six principal materials can be used in the making of jewellery: bone, steel, silver, gold, platinum, and leather. All pieces of jewellery can be crafted from the first five, but only certain items can be crafted from leather.

Firelash, firewall, and icewall enchantments may be added to rings crafted by a jeweller. Hearing enchantments may be added to crafted rings, while necklaces can be enchanted to allow comprehension of racial languages.

Blackrock is a system of caves inhabited by a group of evil Dwarves. The mountain which contains the caves was dropped on Lord Sartan in an attempt to imprison him by Lord Phaestus. An entrance to the caves can now be found on Mhaldor Isle off the coast of the Northern Vashnars.

Geography
The entrance to the Halls of Blackrock can be found in the hills south of Mhaldor. Its deep caves stretch far underground. In the upper levels, spelunkers may find the underground lake, a body of blackened waters hidden within the caves. Far down into the caves, the dwarves of Blackrock conduct a mining operation, building a city of their own deep under Sapience. Visitors will see sights ranging from a lavish throne room, to jagged mine heads, to a cold, darkened prison. In the very deepest section of the mines, one can find a mirror that marks the entrance to Lady Keresis' temple.

Inhabitants
The Dwarves of Blackrock have forsaken the rule of Phaestus, whom they claim abandoned them when He hurled their mountain on Sartan. They have instead chosen to devote themselves to Sartan, the Malevolent. Notable figures in the Halls of Blackrock include:

*Arnora Foehammer
*Barak D'Nichliz, Lord of the Undercaves
*Enlil, Priest of Keresis
*Grima Flameforge, the twisted Cleric
*Lorack D'Nichliz, the Smith
*Megaera
*Orin Foehammer
*Phalin Stonegrind, the Rockchipper
*Urwin Foehammer, the Axewielder

Culture
Once loyal subjects of Lord Phaestus, the Dwarves of the Halls of Blackrock have separated themselves from the other dwarven clans and pledged their allegiance to Sartan. They carry on a successful mining operation in the depths of Blackrock while the priestess Grima trains her acolytes in the worship of their new Lord. These Dwarves were also involved in the defeat of the Vertani as they discovered a way to harm the seemingly impenetrable fortresses.

Shops
Two stores can be found in the Halls: a mining stockroom and a somewhat unconventional stable. The stockroom sells the commodities iron, gold, gems, and platinum. The Dwarves are also willing to purchase platinum at a lowered price. The stable sells small burros, as well as giant trained ants with saddles attached. There are few amenities for the average sight-seer, but the hardened adventurer will find what they need.

Flora and Fauna
Few plants grow in the depths of the caves. A handful of patches of lichen and mosses can be located throughout the mines, and the valuable bloodroot plant may be harvested in the upper levels. The underground lake is also home to a few types of algae.

Large stone anthills can be found littered throughout Blackrock, and massive bloodworms can be found deep in the mines. The Dwarves are known to attach saddles to these beasts and use them in their mining efforts. Vicious angler fish and pincer crabs can be found in the waters of the lake, and a giant octopus is said to make its home in the black depths.

Moghedu was first discovered by Lord Nicator on his way through the Vashnar Mountains southwest of the Mhojave Desert. It is the primary home of the Mhun race.
Geography
Moghedu is located on the lower slopes of the Vashnar Mountains, southwest of the great Mhojave Desert and northwest of Jaru and its parent city, Shallam. The city itself is a multi-level system of caves leading deep underground. The Mhun take care of domestic business on the second and third levels primarily, leaving the fourth and fifth for mining and the various types of training needed to meet the needs of the community.

Inhabitants
*Garil, the Mhun linguist
*the Great Mhunna
*Mhunk, an inattentive Mhun miner
*Sir Temelin, Knight Commander of Moghedu

Other inhabitants include:
*Elite Mhun keepers
*Master Mhun miners
*Mhun adolescents
*Mhun architects
*Mhun blacksmith
*Mhun bodyguards
*Mhun captain of the guard
*Mhun children
*Mhun cooks
*Mhun demolitionists
*Mhun guards
*Mhun Keepers
*Mhun Knights
*Mhun mages
*Mhun merchant
*Mhun miners
*Mhun scouts
*Mhun slave hands
*Mhun smelters
*Mhun warriors
*Mhun women
*Mhun workers

Culture
The Mhuns of Moghedu are very wary of outsiders and tend to be secretive about their home and way of life. Primarily a mining community, life centres around the command of the Great Mhunna who rules Moghedu with an iron fist, caring more for himself than his people most of the time. Yet, the Mhuns follow him without question, and one would be hard-pressed to find dissention among the Mhun ranks as those therein believe wholeheartedly in the strength of their leader.

History
The very beginnings of Moghedu's history go all the way back to the time of the Founders. The brothers Glanos and Sahart, leaving Ceylon with over half of the human population, set out in search of new lands in which they might make a home. Those who were left in the Golden Land were struck just a few years later by a massive plague. Those that survived fled the city, journeying to the Mhojave and spending many years there, hoping that the extremely dry environment might purge them of the plague. After enough had died and the plague appeared to be cleansed from their bodies, the people of Ceylon searched for a place to live and found the caves, now known as Moghedu, to the southwest of the vast desert where they had survived the last few years. Many hundreds of years later, Nicator rediscovered the subterranean settlement. Led at that time by Chief Grolmar Lightning-Hand, the people of Moghedu were the first to join the growing Empire of Seleucar.

Shops
There are several shops of note located in Moghedu. The first can be found just west of the entrance and is known as Gemstone vials of Moghedu. Here you can find gemstone vials, artefact pipes, and a few other key items on sale in exchange for credits only. You can also find Moghedu Stables deep within the bowels of Moghedu - the only place in Sapience you can buy yourself a stubborn mule of Moghedu for riding. A third shop, the Storage Chamber, is a commodities shop selling steel, iron, coal, gold, silver, and gems - all the riches of the earth.

Is the year format "479AF" or "479 AF"? Or "A.F."? :P --Slurpz 16:39, 8 May 2008 (GMT)
:No particular protocol on this one either! You can bring it up in our forums too, for a poll if you like. Asara 16:53, 8 May 2008 (GMT)
"Currently" makes it sound as if we haven't always used "AF" or that it won't always be "AF". I don't think "after the fall" is supposed to be capitalised. Also, isn't "BF" used for "before the fall"? --Slurpz 19:16, 8 May 2008 (GMT)
:I added the "currently" modifier because time was counted before Seleucar Fell, and thus AF wouldn't make sense as time's unit at that point. I capitalised after and fall in "After the Fall" to emphasize where the abbreviations came from, but feel free to change if you wish. Regarding BF, I have never heard of that personally, but if that has true usage in canon, then the "currently" modifier is all the more appropriate. Asara 21:36, 8 May 2008 (GMT)
::Ok, I guess your first comment makes sense. But in regards to "BF", that's something we use now, too (so it doesn't make "currently" more appropriate), not something used before the actual fall (for reasons I'm sure you can figure out). I guess the real issue is whether (and how) the years were kept track of before the fall. --Slurpz 00:59, 9 May 2008 (GMT)
:::Now that would be interesting! I still don't understand your use of "currently", unfortunately - I think we're going a bit too far on it. By "currently", our current (as in, right now, the present time) method of dating uses AF, period, so whether or not we still reference BF dates does not undermine our years as being AF. Does that make sense? Asara 02:09, 9 May 2008 (GMT)
::::Perfectly. _my_ point however was that AF and BF are used concurrently, so it doesn't make usage of the term "currently" any more appropriate (since there was never a transition between usage of "BF" to usage of "AF"); I'm not denouncing "currently" as an inappropriate term, though. --Slurpz 02:26, 9 May 2008 (GMT)
:::::Oi. Well, given that you understand my usage of currently, that AF and only AF is what dates our years right now, what would you suggest otherwise? Asara 12:37, 9 May 2008 (GMT)
:::::And regarding BF - did you say that BF is NOT a canonized term but something more a product of player-derived lingo? Asara 12:39, 9 May 2008 (GMT)
My only suggestion is to include mention of BF, if it is indeed canonical. I cannot remember for sure if I've seen it used as canon, but it is already used on Lore (here, for example; where does that info come from though?). --Slurpz 12:46, 10 May 2008 (GMT)

The Effigy of Victory was created as a sign of favour from the Logos. First introduced in the year 337 AF following Shallam's victory in a game of Capture the Flag, the Effigy has consequently been handed down to the victors in every subsequent CTF to date. Since Maya's ascendance as Supreme Creatrix of Achaea, the Effigy has become a testament of Her favour rather than that of Sarapis.
Although the Effigy serves one purpose as a tangible trophy of victory, it also confers an increase of 10% in experience gain to all citizens of the city that holds it.
The lost troll capital of Kasmarkin lay sunken beneath the murky depths of the Mannaseh Swamp for centuries, until the Occultists Shakti and Silverstorm succeeded in raising it in the year 298 AF through a complex quest.

Emperor Rakmarkha III, known to history as "the Mad Emperor," was the last troll to lead this empire. It was he who received visions from the "Unborn Goddess" (actually Eris, Goddess of Chaos, travelling through time in Her meditations) on how to further his power by summoning the chaotic demon Taug to this realm.

In modern times, the city of Kasmarkin may still be risen from the depths, but it sinks again after a time, as the magic fades. One entering the city may find the mummified guards and ghosts of the senators still lurking about, as well as the loyalists-turned-oozes of Lord Taug in his Black Fortress.

Voyria is widely considered to be among the most deadly of venoms in all of Sapience. Even the smallest dose is capable of killing a full grown elephant. Once it enters into the victim's bloodstream, it begins to work its way throughout the body, gradually killing him or her. Typically, the victim will exhibit symptoms, including blood trickling from the nose and flushness in the face, before he or she fully succumbs to the effects of the voyria venom. In order for the victim to cleanse the poison from his body, he or she must drink an immunity elixir before it has had a chance to take its full effect.

A general question, largely for Delphinus who is the current Geography master: if a Sea is a smaller region of an Ocean, is it exclusive to one ocean? For example, there are mentions of Lemnian Sea being part of Notic and Eusian oceans. I realize it represents the border between them, but for consistency, should there be one single, proper designation? Gnaash 17:24, 12 January 200http://www.achaea.com/lore?title=Category_talk:Oceans_and_Seas&action=edit9 (UTC)

: The Lemnian Sea seems to be an area of the sea all on its own. For example, sailing northward, locale in ship info will show Notic Ocean, and past a certain latitude, it'll show Lemnian Sea, then some while later, The Eusian Sea. Continuing northeastish, you then get The Riparium Reaches of the Eusian Ocean. I'm going to guess at going by the font sizes on that massive map of his. --Kunama 14:00, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
::Code-wise, all named areas are their own tangible area, which can be viewed via SHIP INFO (like using SURVEY) and are thus mutually exclusive. Lore-wise, this is not the case. Everything exists within Achaea's four major Oceans with Seas and/or Reaches within each (and sometimes spanning more than one ocean too). Asara 15:06, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
::I'll bow to HELP OCEANS, which says the Lemnian is in the Eusian Ocean:
The Eusian Ocean holds or borders the Lothian Reaches (by the Bay of Dardanos),
the Cnidian Gates northeast of Tasur'ke, the eponymous Riparian Reaches, the
Scyrian Reaches eastward of the Riparian Reaches, the Lemnian Sea off the
southeast coast, and the Phocian Reaches farther eastward of there. The great
Bay of Dardanos in the north/northeast of Sapience also borders on the Eusian
Ocean.
::By the by, yes, seas are contained within single oceans. As for which seas go where, that gets a bit sketchier; tritonic territories could easily cross oceanic borders, though I've gotten confirmation that the Caspiite Reaches are within the Borean Ocean. On remembering that, I guess that means I should change the Bay of Dardanos article. -- 15:20, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Jy'Barrak Golgotha, Emperor of Chaos, is the ruler of the Chaos Plane. He reigns from his Infernal Throne atop the great volcano in the centre of the realm alongside Arctar, the Defender. He towers fifteen feet in the air, his form wreathed in elemental flame, and is encased in blackened battle armour that shines with the blood of sacrificial victims.

Vengeance, Twofold
In the year 318 AF, Jy'Barrak Golgotha made a trip to the Prime Material Plane to reclaim Danaeus. The Occultist Xerimor and the banished Pazuzu had led a Mhaldorian army to the Chaos Plane to slay Danaeus in revenge for his betrayal. They made haste to Mhaldor, where Taug fashioned an altar and trapped Danaeus' body and soul within. Golgotha, once arrived on Sapience, used his own arcane powers to free Danaeus and, as the altar demanded something in return, Golgotha cast Xerimor into it in Danaeus' place. Satisfied, the two Chaos Lords returned to their home plane.

This was a catalyst for the formation of the Apostate Guild, which was later renamed the Blood Congregation after the formation of Houses.

:This article is about the renegade alliance of Gods. For other uses, please see Triumvirate (disambiguation).
The Triumvirate was composed of the Goddess Lorielan and the Gods Agatheis and Khalas. These three Elder Gods were created at the dawn of time by Ayar. Secretly influenced by the great Demon Prince Pazuzu, They attempted to overthrow Proteus as the leader of the Gods. This became known as the War of Humanity, which led to (and was in fact a part of) the Chaos Wars.

After Their defeat, They were each imprisoned: Lorielan was banished to the Crystal Plane, Agatheis was bound into the form of a unicorn, and Khalas was transformed into a statue. Lorielan and Agatheis later repented and were freed, but the statue of Khalas still remains to this day near the Village of Tomacula in the Savannah of Sapience, an eternal testament to the folly of challenging the Supreme Creator.
Allies
During the War of Humanity, the Triumvirate gathered many beings to rally for its side. Those forces included the following:

*Han-Silnar and his faction of Aldar
*the Kx'Khrah of the Crystal Realm
*the Rajamala race
