Four Years' War

The Four Years' War was an ongoing series of battles between the Jewel of the East and the Bastion of the North. Its fiery beginnings were ignited when the Church provoked strife between Chaos and Light. The struggle went back and fourth for nearly half a decade until Ashtan pressed mercilessly upon Shallam, decimating their city guards as well as the men, women, and children within the city walls.

Given no other choice, Sultan Silas Aodh'Maynard consented to negotiate terms of surrender: a public declaration by the Sultan, resolved status for Ashtani branded enemies during the war, and a tribute of five million gold sovereigns. Overseer Erhon Lucoster accepted Shallam's submission in Scarlatan 465 AF, bringing to a close the hostilities begun by the Light.
