Madelyne is a middle-aged Atavian with the spirit of a Halfling. Aside from spending her rebellious years as a teenager in Tasur'ke, she has lived her entire life in the city of Cyrene where she has earned the rank of Duchess.

Shortly after her eighteenth birthday and graduation from Loom Island, Madelyne became a member of Ty Beirdd. The arts became the main focus of her life and she went on to serve the house for a time in the capacity of Dean of The Academie of Fine Arts, a school of higher learning sponsored by the house. She currently serves as house secretary and represents the house as a Senator of Cyrene.

More recently, Madelyne spends her time following Lord Agatheis and has spent enough months in the village of Genji that it is reflected in her accent. A lover of books and knowledge in general, Madelyne serves as librarian for both organisational and personal libraries across the continent, including the Order of Agatheis, Ty Beirdd, and the Lucretian Athenaeum. She is also a former aide to the librarian for the city of Cyrene.

Madelyne can often be seen mounted upon the back of her loyal steed Peabody, a shocking pink flamingo. A gregarious fowl with a distaste for members of the siren race, his primary mission in life is to find a hat that matches his chartreuse feather boa. Peabody loves shopping and gossip, and can often be found practicing his yodelling on the front lawn of Madelyne's waterfront home in the Terraces at Lake Muurn.
