Possibly related to the ether, the rift is a special type of invisible personal storage for storing herbs, inks, crystals, commodities, reagents, ingredients, alchemical materials, and common liquids. It's akin to a sort of hammerspace. All adventurers possess it inherently, and it can store the following amounts:
- 750 of each type of ink
- 1000 of each type of cooking ingredient
- 2500 of each type of herb, commodity, reagent, or crystal.
- 2000 sips of health and mana
- 1000 sips of most curatives, venoms, and other fluids.
The capacity of the rift can be expanded with various artefacts, including:
- Prospero's Lesser Vault doubles solid item capacity
- Prospero's Greater Vault quadruples solid item capacity
- Tippler's Tap doubles liquid capacity
- Sot's spigot triples liquid capacity
- Phaestean Faucet quadruples liquid capacity
