Durandian Steel refers to a special class of steel weapons created on Meropis after the fall of the Seleucarian Empire. Marked with dark, wavering lines and exceptional resilience, Durandian steel blades were created by subjecting them to a wash of concentrated monster poison in the waters of a lake near Thornwall Hold. Named for the boy Durande who discovered the process, the ever-sharp blades are credited with turning back the rampaging creatures of the Tsol'teth and speeding towards an end to the Dark Ages.
