Mosquitoes are small, midge-like, parasitic flies which are known for their annoying buzzing and bloodsucking habits. Female specimens have long proboscis and long, dangling legs. The insects typically travel in swarms (similar to bees) but the giant variety can commonly be found buzzing about humid, swampy locations such as Green Lake.
