The Battle of King's Tomb is a legendary battle that took place at the turning point of the first War of Succession. However, it is noted that the only historical record available is but a historical novel written by Leona Fontaine. The physical events stated here are true while any narrative or motivations by the historical figures might be taken as works of creative liberty.

Inspired by a vision from the Church, Catarin deSangre made her journey through the King's Tomb under the protection of Lucaine Pyramides in search of the Staff of Nicator that was believed to have finally returned to its masters. There, within the royal catacombs, Lucaine Pyramides revealed the extent of his near inhuman abilities as he stood guard at the entrance, slaying well over two hundred Mycalean soldiers as well as Duke Lucius Errikale.
